Dear new and ongoing thematic group conveners,
Happy new year and I hope you all had a great break. A few key things as we start the new 2-year convening term:
- All the information about convening a group can be found in the TG Conveners' Manual on the website. This has recently been updated to include instructions on using the new website features. There is also a brief 2 pager flyer that outlines the key duties of the role.
- Now is the time to email your group and introduce yourselves. You can email your group through the TASA website, which generates an up to date mailing list for each group. Information on how to do this can be found in the TASA manual. If you have any difficulties with this, contact Sally our TASA Administrative Officer: admin@tasa.org.au. The new website allows each thematic group to have their own online forum. Details on how to activate this are in the manual. Sally will be running a Zoom session on the new web platform features for interested conveners. Details will be emailed to you soon.
- Applications for the first round of Thematic Group funding are due on March 1st, 5pm. This funding is for applications for activities between July 1st and December 31st of this year. See Manual for more details. You might like to contact your group about possible events/activities to be held in the second half of the year. I will contact you all with a reminder about this in February but happy to answer questions now.
- Sally is currently collecting photos of new conveners to add to the website. If you haven't already done so, please send yours through to Sally: admin@tasa.org.au
