Introduction & Postgraduate Virtual Forum

Dear ~~first_name~~,

I hope this email finds you well, and that 2021 is off to a good start. It's a pleasure to formally introduce myself as the Postgraduate Portfolio Leader for 2021-2022, and I thank Dr Ben Lohmeyer and my fellow PGSC members of 2019-2020 for their service to TASA Postgrads.

It is also my pleasure to introduce the new Postgraduate Sub-Committee (PGSC):

  • Dorinda ‘t Hart University of Western Australia
  • Defeng Jin UNSW Sydney
  • Sam MilesMonash University

You can view everyone's bios here and follow them on Twitter!

As a committee we have met twice so far, and are planning to kick off with our contributions to TASA Thursdays from April, which includes a monthly session focussed on topics relevant to postgrads. You can view some of last year's sessions on TASA's YouTube channel, including fantastic sessions on Digital Methods, Writing Abstracts, and Autoethnography. We're keen to hear about ideas for future TASA Thursdays!

Postgraduate Virtual Forum

For our first TASA Thursday on the 1st April we are hosting a 'Postgraduate Virtual Forum'. This event is for postgrads only (including honours, masters, PhD). This is an opportunity to meet the new PGSC, talk to us about your interests and aspirations, and to discuss priorities for TASA postgrads over the next 2 years.
