Are you one of our next TASA Youth conveners?

Greetings ever-wonderful youth thematic group members. It is with a sad heart that I must bid farewell to my fabulous fellow travellers on this convening journey. Julia and Ben are leaving after completing their co-convenor roles and I am looking for some marvelous new partners to ensure this awesome thematic group keeps on truckin’!

Honestly, the time investment is so low compared to the enormous returns. I have benefitted so much just working with Julia and Ben, where we have sought to provide an informative, collegial, and supportive space for our group members. I promise you will not regret the time you put in (and it is up to you and something we can negotiate together when you come onboard).

Okay, let’s get down to brass tacks! In terms of time commitment - the extent of your contribution is totally up to you, there is much flexibility in how this group operates regarding the ‘what’, ‘when’ and ‘how’ we contribute. The point is to keep things collaborative and manageable for all, and facilitate and enable space for members of our youth studies community to come together. If such an opportunity appeals to you and/or you want to know more, please reach out to either myself, Julia and Ben (email addresses at the bottom of this message) and we would be delighted to answer any further questions (or address any concerns). To ensure a clear process could you please register your interest for this role by Friday 24th February, and we will make a decision by Monday 1st March and share this with you, then the wider group.

All the best,

Naomi.
