Set in the heart of Adelaide’s western end, University of South Australia’s City West campus is a modern, accessible venue. The central five storey award winning Hawke Building is named in honour of Australia’s only South Australian born Prime Minister, Bob Hawke and features state of the art lecture and meeting rooms, a crucible style forum for larger symposia and a 400 seat lecture theatre. The venue is also home to the state’s second largest public art gallery, the Anne and Gordon Samstag Museum which features a world-class calendar of contemporary art exhibitions. It is a five minute walk to the main shopping district; to the beautiful banks of the River Torrens or other key attractions along the cultural boulevard of North Terrace.
