| Upcoming Zoom meeting for all TASA Thematic Group Conveners |
Dear TASA TG conveners,
I hope that 2024 has treated you all well so far...
In recent years, we have organised online/zoom meetings for TG conveners to discuss ideas, questions, feedback, etc. Based on their popularity, we will aim to continue these meetings in 2024, with an aim to meet perhaps 3-4 times throughout the year. Given that teaching is due to start for most academics very soon and that the deadline to apply for TASA funding for TG events/activities for the second half of the year (1 July-31 December) is due by 1 March, it's a good idea if we hold our first meeting of the year ASAP.
Of course, participation isn't compulsory!! But... if you have any questions about TASA funding applications/opportunities, if you have any other questions about TG activities, events, initiatives, etc, if you want to share thoughts and ideas about running TGs, or even if you're keen just to catch up and meet other TG convenors/TASA members... this meeting is for you😊.
To find a date/time that suits as many folks as possible, I've created a poll here. If you'd like to join the meeting, please participate in the poll ASAP. Based on the most popular choice, I will select a date/time and send out a zoom invite to all TG convenors.

P.S., For further details about TG funding, check the Conveners' Manual or just ask. If you intend to work on an application before 1 March, I'd be more than happy to provide advice if needed. Please note that, for the first time, TASA is making $300 available, in addition to the usual maximum of $2000, to subsidise the cost of a Welcome to Country for outward/public facing events.
