Post Grad Sub-Committee – Call for New Members

Dear ~~first_name~~,
 
I am calling for expressions of interests to join TASA’s Postgraduate Sub-Committee (PGSC) for the 2025-2026 term. This PGSC supports the Postgraduate Portfolio Leader in representing and furthering the interests of TASA’s postgraduate members. The PGSC consists of a maximum of seven members who usually serve a two-year term and meet online approximately four times a year as well as face-to-face at the annual conference.

The PGSC is made up of a maximum of seven (7) members. The PGSC is headed by TASA's Postgraduate Portfolio Leader, elected biennially at TASA general elections. The responsibilities of each Committee member are determined by the Chair with advice from the committee members. In all cases, the Committee will include the following positions:
  • Chair (PG Portfolio Leader)
  • A Vice Chair
  • Communications Officer
  • General Member (s) (up to 4 postgraduate members)
Key areas of focus for PGSC include:
  • Post-Grad Day at the Annual TASA Conference
  • TASA Postgraduate web and social media strategies and information
  • Networks with similar postgraduate organisations
  • Postgraduate professional and academic development

To submit your expression of interest please email TASA Admin at admin@tasa.org.au, with PGSC in the subject line, by Friday January 24th, 2025 with the following information:
  • Your name
  • Institutional affiliation
  • A personal statement of up to 200 words
Please note: You must be enrolled in a postgraduate degree to be considered eligible to serve on this sub-committee.
