Welcome to the first postgraduate newsletter of 2025! It is unbelievable to think it is already March, but I hope that you managed to have a restful break over summer.
As we kick off this new year, we’re thrilled to announce our new sub-committee for the Postgraduate portfolio for 2025-2026. The sub-committee members are:

- Larney Peerenboom (Co-Vice Chair) – Deakin University
- Sivaan Walker (Co-Vice Chair) - University of New South Wales
- Brooklyn Donnelly (Communications Officer) – University of Tasmania
- Jay Caldwell – Australian National University
- Xavier Mills – Swinburne University
- Eibhlis Moore - University of Melbourne
- Joelle Moore – University of Queensland
Stay tuned for an upcoming email where we’ll be formally introducing each sub-committee member and sharing their vision for the year.
The sub-committee is excited to plan an eventful and enriching 2025 for you, but we want to ensure that the events and activities we organize truly reflect your needs and interests. To make sure we’re on the right track, our first action of the year has been to develop a survey to gather your thoughts and ideas on what you’d like to see from TASA. Your feedback will be invaluable in shaping the direction of our events and initiatives. We encourage you to take a few moments to complete the survey and share your insights with us—your voice matters!
The survey is only 6 short questions and will take between 5-10 minutes. It closes on Sunday March 30th 2025, so please complete it before this date!
If you would rather send your ideas directly to the postgraduate sub-committee, we would welcome that as well. You can send any ideas or feedback to postgraduates@tasa.org.au.
