Hi TASA Sociology of Music colleagues,

 

Our group has been invited to convene a TASA Thursday Session on 17 April. TASA Thursday Sessions are lunchtime online panels (normally 12.30-1.30pm AEDT) providing "an opportunity for members to showcase their work or present on a topical issue." The session would be advertised among the wider TASA membership.

 

Ideally we'd have three speakers, say 15 minutes each plus questions. Would you like to present about ongoing work or a topical issue in the Sociology of Music? Rather than any more specific panel theme, we see this as an opportunity simply to showcase work from this relatively new thematic group. We have one expression of interest already from a HDR member.

 

We have been asked to confirm speakers and topics by end of this week, so that promotion could commence. If you are interested, could you please let us know by COB Thursday? Please email ben.green@rmit.edu.au and/or samuel.whiting@rmit.edu.au to express interest or with any queries.
