About this event

What does it mean to do sociological research beyond data? In an increasingly data-driven research milieu, sociological inquiry is often structured through classificatory logics, categorical distinctions, and measurable outputs that risk abstracting social life from its power-laden, affective, and relational dimensions. Yet lived experience resists such neat organisation. This session critically examines how sociological research can move beyond fixed categories to engage more meaningfully with the complexity, contingency, and entanglement of everyday life.
