A quick clarification regarding the Executive Elections announcement circulated recently.
Under the Constitution, the Executive Committee consists of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Postgraduate Portfolio Leader and up to four Portfolio Leaders, with the specific portfolios determined by the Executive Committee in advance of an election.
The reference to Indigenous, Public Sociology, Equity, Inclusion & Advocacy, and TASA Groups relates only to the determination of the four Portfolio Leader positions that will be in place for the next Executive term.
All Executive positions are open in each election and will be open for nomination in the upcoming election, including:
- President
- Vice-President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Indigenous Portfolio Leader
- Public Sociology Portfolio Leader
- Equity, Inclusion & Advocacy Portfolio Leader
- TASA Groups Portfolio Leader (Thematic Groups & Career Stage Groups)
- Postgraduate Portfolio Leader
