We're delighted to see our Early Career Group continuing to grow and are looking forward to getting to know you, building connections, and supporting one another throughout the year.
The group is also welcoming a new Co-Convenor, Lucy Crothers, who is a Policy Officer at the Australian Human Rights Commission. Lucy brings valuable experience from the policy sector, and we're excited to have her join the group leadership team.
To kick off our activities for the year, we'd like to invite you to an informal coffee catch-up. For this first event, we've scheduled it after hours, recognising that many members are juggling busy meeting schedules and competing demands during the workday. We know there is no perfect time that will suit everyone, so we'll endeavour to vary meeting times across the year and host monthly catch-ups at different times of day to maximise opportunities for participation.
For this first gathering, we'd simply like to get to know one another, hear about the work you're doing, learn about your interests, and discuss what you'd like to see from the group moving forward. Please join us on Wednesday 1 July 7:00pm AEST via the Microsoft Teams link below!

We have a range of ideas in development, including networking opportunities with other groups, information sessions on topics such as non-academic career pathways, grant and fellowship applications, publishing and peer review, and navigating career development both within and beyond academia.
