Biography
Dr. Mai Thi Quynh Lan is the Head of the Department for Quality Assurance Research and Management at the Institute for Education Quality Assurance of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. She obtained Master Degree in Social Planning and Development (Professional) under full scholarships of the University of Queensland, Australia and a grant of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education to complete PhD study at the School of Sociology, the University of Queensland, Australia. Her research focus is graduate attributes and competencies. She is passionate about exploring the gaps between attributes gained from university and actual requirements of the new world of work. She is also keen on enhancing university teaching and learning to improve 'transferable skills' for graduates. She is interested in research on graduate attributes and competences, higher education in the 4th Industry Revolution era, curriculum reform, university-work transition, graduates' work experience, intercultural workplace, intercultural competence, cultural mediation, and cultural intermediary. She is the author and co-author of book chapters published by Springer International Publishing AG, Cham and Routledge; and author of articles published in international journals.
