Chinese Queer Female Student’s Queer and Adult Identity Making in Australia

Youth mobility, youth transitions, queer temporality

This project explores how Chinese queer female students craft queer and adult identities to reconfigure their transitions in Australia. It emplaces a queer intervention and brings a Chinese cultural perspective to investigate youth transitions and youth mobility in international contexts. Through a lens of temporality, it aims to capture the complexities and tensions in these students' narratives about their cross-cultural practices, ‘in-between’ processes in transitions, and discourses of intimate lives and relationships.
