TASA’s
Masterclass with The Conversation seeks to support the professional development of TASA members with regard to disseminating research findings to the public via engagement with
The Conversation.
TASA’s Masterclass Grant is targeted at TASA members who have limited or no access to funding for professional development activities and who have limited or no experience writing for
The Conversation.
The successful applicants will receive a funded place in TASA’s Masterclass with
The Conversation. TASA will provide the names and email addresses to
The Conversation who will book the applicants directly into a Masterclass, dependent on available dates and applicant preferences. The scholarship must be used by June 30, 2023. An expected outcome of the scholarship is a pitch (solo or collaborative) to
The Conversation upon completion of the Masterclass.
The 2022 TASA funding for the Masterclass is a once-off grant and will only be offered in 2022. Please send your application to
TASA Admin.
Key dates:
Applications close on
19 September 2022.
Successful applicants will be announced in October 2022.
Eligibility:
- Be a TASA member.
- Unable to access funding for attendance to the Masterclass.
- Agree to contribute to TASAweb with a one-page summary or two-minute video upon completion of the Masterclass outlining what they have learned.
Each application must include:
- Application form (see below).
- Curriculum Vitae.
- A 500 word statement addressing the selection criteria (see below).
Application Evaluation:
Applications will be forwarded to TASA Executive and assessed against the following criteria:
- Alignment with the purpose of grant.
- Lack of access to other funding for attendance to the Masterclass.
- The demonstrated value of the Masterclass for the applicant’s career development.
- All eligibility criteria are met.
TASA has the right to reverse or vary any decision made if it finds that the decision has been made based on incomplete or incorrect information supplied by the applicant.
