To modify this page, paste in the URL of the banner image. Get the banner image URL from clicking the clipboard icon in web graphics manager. Search for images in the "banner" category.

To modify the links on the right hand side, right click on the link and select "change link" from the popup context menu. The link will automatically format to have the arrow.

You may also use a submenu widget here instead of manual links. The awards pages names were too long for the submenu widget - page names have a maximum character length of 26 characters.

To change the image in the gray row (beneath the text) right click on the image, and choose "change image" from the context menu.

All other text should be selected and retyped.

TASA 2024: Submissions



Abstract Submission Guidelines


NOTE, SUBMISSIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED

We are happy to announce the call for abstracts for TASA 2024. This year's conference will explore the theme: Living Now: Social Worlds, Political Landscapes and will involve a mix of general (thematic group) papers and panel-based sessions. Some alternative formats are also available.

Note, there is a limit of 2 submissions per delegate (either 2 general or 1 general and 1 panel). 

 

Abstracts are required for all presentations to be considered for TASA 2024.The abstract word limit is 200 words.


The deadline for Abstracts for General Papers (aligned with Thematic Groups) was extended to Monday 17 June 2024. 


Note, submissions for proposals for Panel Sessions has closed.


TASA 2024 - General Abstract Submission Process

General Paper abstracts should be no more than 200 words, be aligned with a TASA Thematic Group, and must be submitted using the Oxford Abstracts Portal. The deadline for General Paper abstracts was extended to Monday 17 June 2024. We ask that submissions connect in some way with the conference theme.

 

Accepted papers will be allocated 15 minutes presentation time and 5 minutes for questions.

 

All abstracts underwent a review process with notification of results sent via email by late-July 2024.

 

Alternative Presentation Formats

Delegates to TASA 2024 had the additional option to submit an abstract for one of the following alternative formats:
 
1. Poster Presentation

2. Creative Exhibition

3. Book Launch


Please Note: panel sessions will be allocated to the conference program by the TASA conference convener & events manager. Panel sessions will be scheduled to suit conference planning and will be held from Wednesday 27th November - Friday 30th November 2024.


For panel sessions not accepted for inclusion in the program, individual presenters nominated within the panel proposal may still be considered for a thematic group presentation.
